St Boniface Church

Welcome to the Saint Boniface Church School program staffed by “The Church School Team,” a dedicated group of volunteers. Our goal is to engage your children in a nurturing environment of Christian Formation filled with a creative approach and hands-on activities. Each Sunday the children come together and experience the Bible stories and lessons by having them presented in positive ways that encourage discussion and looking beyond themselves. We want your children to feel that church is a place they want to be. Please help us by making Saint Boniface a priority in your lives.

Welcome. We are glad that you have enough interest in Hope Presbyterian Church that you have chosen to visit this web site. Visiting a new church is a hard thing. Everything is new, everyone is new. You don’t know where to go for what, or when to stand or sit, and you may just feel that everyone is either ignoring you or staring at you! It is my hope that the information on this site may help you to understand who we are and, if you are looking for a church home, encourage you to come visit us in person. We are not perfect, but we hope that we may in some way be able to make your visit with us pleasant.

Once you have browsed a while, you may have questions. This would not surprise me. There are ways in which we are not like other churches you may have visited. Feel free to call or e-mail me.

We have a great desire to serve the residents of Central Manatee County, and we know of no better way to do that than seeking ourselves to love and obey Jesus Christ, and to invite you to do the same. If we have not met you, we look forward to meeting you soon.

Mission at Central Church

OUR MISSION at Central is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ in faithful response to God’s will. We seek in all persons a faith and commitment to Jesus Christ through service to our community, commitment to Christ’s Body, the Church and faithful work beside others in ecumenical proclamation of the oneness of the Body of Christ, and in all ways to make known the love of God.
OUR VALUES are defined through our openness to differences. We value and welcome the uniqueness each individual brings to our church community. As an open and affirming congregation, we welcome all people of every ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation, disability, economic status or cultural background.
OUR IDENTITY is documented by the rich fellowship we share as a part of Christ’s Body. We value the celebration of God’s love as together we worship, study, express our varied interests and talents and gather informally and in social settings.
OUR DEVOTION is to sharing the promise of God’s love in ways that respect all persons as we seek to reach out to our own community and share a commitment to mission beyond our own boundaries.
OUR SPIRITUALITY is manifest as we respect each person’s spiritual growth through providing a loving community of support.
OUR COMMITMENT is to growth in expressing the stewardship of the Gospel. Through the challenge to each person to become a growing steward of time, talent and financial resources to the mission of Christ’s church we are devoted to the conviction that God will bless us in accordance with our faithfulness.
OUR DREAM is to be a diverse community of faith wherein persons feel a family identity without age or historic boundaries. We visualize that our congregation will be known by the reality of all ages and all classes of people being at home with one another.
OUR HERITAGE is maintained through our identity and affirmation of the historic practices and convictions of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). In expression of that affirmation we are steadfast in the practices of:
–Open membership, welcoming all Christians into our fellowship.
–While being open to those who have identified with Christ by another tradition, we baptize those initially identifying with Christ by immersion.
–Weekly observance of the Lord’s Supper.
–The partnership of lay and clergy in leadership.
–Taking the scriptures seriously but not literally.

Faith Christian Church

About Faith Christian Church

We are pleased that you are taking the time to learn more about the variety of ministries we offer. Faith Christian Church is a friendly place, full of good neighbors. We’re eager to know you, and we’re excited to share with you the marvelous ways God is working in our church.

Faith Christian is different than many other churches in that we realize we are not the only Christians, but Christians only. We are not bound by traditions or rules of men. We are here to worship, meet needs, train for ministry, and help individuals grow in Christ. One thing you should know…we are not a perfect church, but the Holy Spirit is patiently at work moving us through the steps of spiritual maturity.

Our Purpose

The purpose statement that drives Faith Christian Church is to catch the lost for Christ, prepare believers to become Disciples and to release disciples to impact the world. Or more simply:
CPR

Our Invitation

We believe the beginning place for every person who is seeking to understand life and follow the teachings of Jesus is to make the weekend worship a priority. Second, we believe that participation in a small group and adult Sunday school class is essential for developing relationships. Third, we believe that everyone should find a place of ministry in the church and exercise their God-given gifts.

You may already attend church. If so, great! If not, we may have what you are looking for in a church… a place to make friends and grow spiritually.

Faith Christian has been used by God to make a difference in the hearts and homes of many people. Let me encourage you to join in and be part of a dynamic community where lives are being changed. It is our conviction that Christianity was never meant to be dull! Or boring! Or irrelevant!

We believe…

…that Jesus is the one and only Son of God who died for our sins and arose from the dead.
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

…that the Bible is the inspired word of God – a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path.
2 Timothy 3:16

…that every person has worth as a creation of God, but that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 3:23

…that forgiveness of sin and the promise of eternal life are available to those who trust Christ as Savior and Lord.
John 3:16

…that those accepting Christ should repent of sin, confess their faith, and be baptized into Him.
Romans 10:9, Acts 2:38

…that the church is the body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit and exists to reach the lost and edify the saved.
Ephesians 4:1-16

…that Jesus Christ will one day return and reign forever as King of kings and Lord of lords!
1 Thessalonians 4:13-1
